Training the Trainer: Turning Expertise into Action
How expert-led workshops can create behaviour change instead of becoming polished presentations that disappear after the event.

Expertise is not yet a learning experience
Subject experts naturally want to include everything. Learners need a smaller number of decisions they can make differently. Begin with the behaviour expected after the session and select content that supports it.
Husnain's trainer development and institutional programmes inform a practical approach: short explanations, relevant demonstrations and immediate application.
Make the learner produce
Replace long lecture blocks with diagnosis, practice and feedback. Use scenarios from the participants' environment. Ask teams to create a campaign brief, automation map or transformation priority while guidance is available.
Visible work reveals misunderstanding sooner than discussion alone and gives managers an artefact they can use afterwards.
The week after matters most
Close with a small implementation commitment, a named owner and a review date. Provide templates rather than a large slide archive.
Training creates value when it changes the next real decision. Measure adoption, confidence and work quality—not attendance alone.
